Running Dog Street

Tomorrow I am headed to Williamsburg, Virgina, to be a bridesmaid in the wedding of my friends Ann Marie Graham and Greg Higgins. I'm really excited to celebrate with Ann Marie, who is my Tridelt sister, former roommate, and one of my very best friends. I also cannot wait to revisit William & Mary's beautiful campus:

When I was at W&M, one of my favorite things to do was to run the Campus loop and Duke of Gloucester Street (fondly called "Dog Street" by W&M'ers). Dog Street is the main street in Colonial Williamsburg, so it's mostly made of packed dirt and there are no cars. I used to love an evening run on Dog Street, when night was falling and ghost tours were beginning to assemble around the glow of their guides' lanterns. I can hardly wait to strap on my running shoes and relive this treasured memory, and to celebrate with a giant made-to-order Wawa hoagie after :)
